Featured track guide

ZANDVOORT:
FLOW, BANKING
AND PATIENCE.

Zandvoort rewards rhythm more than brute force. It is narrow, fast and difficult to pass on, so a clean qualifying lap and a stable rear end matter.

4.259 KMCircuit length72Race lapsTURN 1Best passing chance
01

Commit to the banking

Build speed through Hugenholtz and the final banked corner. A smooth line gives a better exit than attacking the steering.

02

Protect the rear tyres

Use progressive throttle through the long loaded corners. Wheelspin costs grip later in the stint.

03

Plan the Tarzan move

The main straight into Turn 1 is the clearest passing opportunity. Prioritise the final-corner exit and finish the move under braking.

04

Wet-weather focus

Soften the inputs, avoid sudden kerb strikes and favour rear stability. The narrow track leaves little room to rescue a slide.

SETUP
DOCTOR.

Choose what the car is doing and get a sensible starting point. Make one change at a time, run a few consistent laps, then compare.

Help the front rotate

Try moving brake balance slightly rearward and adding a little front wing. Brake in a straighter line first, then release the brake smoothly as you turn.

Change one setting at a time. The fastest setup is the one you can drive consistently.

Beginner to expert

BUILD SPEED
ONE STEP AT A TIME.

Removing every assist at once usually makes learning harder. This progression keeps the car manageable while introducing one new skill at a time.

  1. 01
    Find consistency

Keep ABS and medium traction control. Learn braking points and aim for five clean laps within the same second.

  2. 02
    Take control of gears

Move to manual gears while keeping the other assists. Use the suggested-gear display until shifting feels natural.

  3. 03
    Reduce the safety net

Try traction control off on a familiar circuit. Squeeze the throttle progressively as the steering opens.

  4. 04
    Chase the final tenths

Turn the racing line to corners only, then off. Add trail braking and ERS management once the lap stays repeatable.
